SIRACH event on community cooling

UK: SIRACH will  explore community heating and cooling in a special event this week at the Building Research Establishment.

Community heating and cooling is becoming increasingly popular across the continent. SIRACH, the new technology network in refrigeration and air conditioning and heat pumps, has gathered some of the top experts in the field to a special meeting on July 5 to explore the benefits of community heating and cooling including energy efficiency and carbon emission reduction.

The day’s schedule includes a presentation of a new IoR technical paper dedicated to large scale heat pumps for high efficiency district heating projects. Kenneth Hoffman, the author of this paper will explain the current surge of popularity of industrial heat pumps, draw observation from the ammonia heat pumps being installed across Europe as well as discuss optimisation solution to keep them safe in densely populated areas.

Delegates will also have the chance to tour the BRE HVAC testing laboratories and see the ground breaking BRE Innovation Park in Watford which features full-scale demonstration buildings displaying innovative design, materials and technologies.

The event is free to attend. For more details and to book, click here.
