Stanref acquired from administration

UK: Suffolk-based refrigeration pressure vessel and heat exchanger manufacturer Stanref has been  acquired from the administrators by investment company DAMSLE.

According to the East Anglian Daily Times (EADT), Bury St Edmunds-based Stanref fell into administration last month after 35 years in business.

DAMSLE, a self-funded investment partnership operating in and around East Anglia and the Home Counties, confirmed that the company will trade as Stanref/Stanref International (2017) Ltd going forward.

Stanref was established in 1982, producing pressure vessels and heat exchangers for the commercial and industrial refrigeration and oil and gas, petrochemical and process sectors. It operates from a 2,000m² factory in Bury St Edmunds.
