Star achieves IIP Platinum

UK: Star Refrigeration has achieved Investors in People Platinum accreditation, a level achieved by only 3% of IIP accredited companies.

In addition, the Glasgow-based company, which has held Investors in People accreditation since 2003, retained its Investors in Young People Gold accreditation.

Investors in People is the international standard for people management and seeks to recognise organisations that encourage sustainability and best practices through the management and development of their people. Platinum accreditation is its highest honour, reserved for those companies that have demonstrated sustained exceptional commitment to managing their workforce.

Commenting on the award, Nadia Rae, Star Refrigeration’s group HR director said, “We have always recognised that our people are our biggest asset and as such place them at the heart of what we do.  We have used the Investors in People frameworks to ensure a continued commitment to making Star a great place to work, focused on continuous improvement, shaped by the feedback and innovative ideas of our employees and providing long term security throughout rewarding and varied careers.”
