Stephen Hill 1951-2021

UK: Steve Hill, former commercial director of HRP, who spent 32 years with the wholesaler, has died.

Hill joined the HRP Group as a sales engineer at the company’s Manchester service centre in 1982.

He quickly built up a strong reputation with the customer base for his technical knowledge and keenness to help. This led to his appointment in 2004 as commercial director (3D Air Sales) supporting the MHI air conditioning products.

He officially retired in 2014, a year before the company’s acquisition by Beijer Ref, but continued to share his knowledge of the, then, new F-gas regulations under the auspices of the F-Gasman blog on the company’s website.

Paying tribute to her one-time colleague, former HRP MD Mandy Pilgrim said: “His passion for the HRP Group to succeed was second to none, even when his health started to fail he never ceased to be passionate about training and in promoting the Company’s products. He will be sadly missed.”
