Steve Parnell 1962-2022

UK: Steve Parnell, east Midlands regional sales manager for Toshiba direct, has died after a short battle with cancer.

Parnell started his career in the air conditioning industry in 1996 working for SWM, at that time the largest Toshiba distributor. He subsequently worked in sales for a number of well-known air conditioning companies including Samsung and LG. He joined Toshiba in 2020.

Former colleague Tony Evanson, now MD at Nottingham-based distributor Oceanair, paid tribute to a man he said was well respected by customers and colleagues.

“Steve adapted to the different product ranges he sold and looked after his customers well. He always had a smile on his face and the cup was always half full. Steve was well thought of by his customers and colleagues,” Evanson said.

Donations in memory of Steve, which will be divided between cancer research UK and Macmillan Cancer Support can be donated online here.
