TEV acquires refrigeration company EPCS

UK: TEV Ltd has acquired the assets of former refrigeration equipment manufacturer Efficient Product Cooling Systems (EPCS) to form a new product line SC-Tec.

Formed in 2010, EPCS produced a range of refrigeration packs and condensing units from its factory in Thornton, Bradford, before recently falling into administration.

Brighouse-based TEV, has acquired the stock from the liquidators, negotiated a new lease on the factory and retained the employees.

Sustainable Cooling Technologies (SC-Tec) will form a new product line within TEV to sell the former EPCS products and will continue to manufacture out of its Thornton site.

TEV operates with two widely recognised brands: Marstair refrigeration and specialist air conditioning products selling into a variety of applications including cold rooms, beer cellar cooling and close control; and Quartz chilled water fan coils and HVAC products.

“EPCS has a strong reputation for delivery quality products in the pack manufacturing industry,” commented TEV MD John Dobson. “The acquisition of the EPCS assets fits perfectly as an extension to our current Marstair product offering. It will also allow Marstair to continue its strong product development ethos expanding our A2L and CO2 product ranges in our chosen markets.”
