TF Solutions acquired by Travis Perkins

UK: Air conditioning and refrigeration distributor TF Solutions has been acquired by builders’ merchant group Travis Perkins.
With TF Solutions director Andy Cherrill confirmed as the new MD, the business now becomes part of BSS, Travis Perkin’s specialist pipeline, heating and mechanical services equipment business.
Established in 2001, TF Solutions achieved a turnover of £11.8m in 2015 and operates from branches in Stockport, Burton on Trent and Dunstable.
BSS became part of the Travis Perkins Group in 2010 in a £553m deal. It operates 58 branches and has approximately 1200 employees.
“Joining the largest specialist supplier of mechanical services in the UK and having the backing and support of the BSS umbrella means that not only can we continue with our first class service ethos, we can now implement our growth strategy in the AC marketplace, increasing our presence and our support to customers,” said Andy Cherrill. “We fully intend to continue operating as we have always done,” he added.
Frank Elkins, divisional CEO of Contract Merchanting, of which BSS is a part, commented: “TF Solutions have an extremely strong identity within the air conditioning and refrigeration market which perfectly complements those in which BSS already operates. In terms of product, the TF Solutions range will enhance BSS’s product offering and support us to offer a one-stop shop for our HVAC customers.”
