Three seek election to IoR board

UK: Three members of the Institute of Refrigeration are vying for election to the two vacancies on the Institute’s board of trustees.
Paul Singh, owner of the ChillAir (UK)Training Academy and Damian Wiszniewski of Samsung are joined by Catalin Tomescu of J&E Hall in competing for the vacant positions.
Singh is probably the best known of the three, having been involved in the industry for over 45 years. He has had a long association with the Birmingham Society of Refrigeration and Air Conditioning (BSRA), most recently serving as chairperson.
Damian Wiszniewski is business development manager at Samsung Climate Solutions UK. He has been actively involved with HVAC industry for the last 10 years. Wiszniewski became involved with the Hampshire Refrigeration Society in early 2018 and was elected vice-chairman in 2020 and is also involved with the IOR South West Branch Steering Group Committee. He has served on the IOR membership committee since 2018 and became chairman in 2021.
Catalin Tomescu is sales and applications engineer at J & E Hall International. He comes from a family background steeped in refrigeration. He learned his trade in Romania before spending two years as a sales and design engineer with Refrigeration Spares.
