Turkey organises virtual trade delegation visit

UK: Building on the recent free trade agreement (FTA) signed between Turkey and the UK, the Turkish HVACR exporters’ association, İSİB, is organising a digital trade delegation visit next month.

Several sectors recorded notable increases in exports after the Free Trade Agreement (FTA) came into effect. These increases have been possible thanks to the FTA, but also the increasing importance of Turkish market because of the pandemic.

Due to the disruptions in the supply chain with Far East countries, in particular, many firms are said to have focused on other markets including Turkey. In January, Turkey’s exports to the UK reached $784.4m. The Turkish HVACR sector recorded an export volume of $33.8m, a 28.1% increase on last year.

During the digital trade delegation “visit” to the UK on 8-12 March, more than 40 companies will meet British contractors, construction and import companies. Bilateral meetings will last for about 40 minutes and will be organised via the internet. Each company is planned to participate in 8 to 10 bilateral business meetings.

UK companies can register for meetings here.
