Weatherite is McDonald’s supplier of the year

UK: Weatherite Air Conditioning has been named as McDonald’s UK & Ireland Supplier of the Year for 2023.

The West-Bromwich-based company’s success marks the first occasion that an air conditioning company has been bestowed with such an honour from McDonald’s.

Weatherite has been involved in enhancing McDonald’s sustainability efforts by replacing old, inefficient air handling units across a substantial number of restaurants throughout the UK.

Delighted at the recognition, Weatherite’s sales director, Michael Boyles, said: “Securing this award is a testament to the collaboration within all facets of our business. It requires a team effort spanning sales order, processing, technical compliance, drawings, contracting, assembly, delivery and after-service.”

Paying tribute to Weatherite’s efforts, McDonald’s equipment & services relationship manager Andy Morgan said: “They invested in their people and in their infrastructure, to enable them to satisfy our unique McDonald’s requirements.

“They worked with other McDonald’s partners to ensure they got their product right and from the outset. Working above and beyond in supporting McDonald’s by stocking spare parts for equipment that they didn’t actually manufacture or have another need for.”
