Wolseley extends cooling product availability

UK: Wolseley has extended the availability of air conditioning and refrigeration products across its UK branch network by making these available at 55 new locations.

Traditionally catering for the heating, plumbing and building service sectors, the new move is designed to further support its growing number of air conditioning contractors. The 55 additional Wolseley branches have now been stocked with a range of essential air conditioning and refrigeration products, and refrigerants including new low GWP blends for the refrigeration market and R32 for the air conditioning sector.

With branches covering England, Wales, Scotland, Northern Ireland and the Channel Isles, air conditioning engineers can now purchase maintenance essentials as well as products from brands such as Daikin, Fujitsu and Bosch.

The new express branches are stocking over 200 air conditioning and refrigeration maintenance products – from refrigerants and copper to insulation and pumps – everything installers need to fit split system air conditioning.

Explaining the move, Wolseley business director for cooling Robert Franklin said: “We are seeing more and more demand for air conditioning products among our customers, including increased interest from traditional heating and plumbing installers. With that in mind, we have expanded our network of branches, meaning that our customers can access our air conditioning and refrigeration ranges faster and easier than ever before.

“Staff in our new branches have also undergone additional industry training, enabling them to help and advise engineers to get the correct products needed for the job at hand,” he added.

The products are also available through Wolseley’s Click & Collect option which enables customers to order until 16.30 and collect their products from any branch 07.30 the next day.

Wolseley has also recently launched its Air Conditioning Mini Guide which showcases the products available at its specialist branches. The guide includes important details such as cooling capacity, maximum pipe runs, pipe sizes and fuse sizes, enabling engineers to select products for jobs quickly and easily.
