Work experience leads to full-time job

UK: A young man who once received work experience at refrigeration component supplier Titan Engineering has now been taken on as a trainee sales engineer.

Matthew Osborne spent a week at Princes-Risborough-based company about three years ago. “In that time”, he said, “I realised that Titan was the type of company I would like to have a career with and when they approached me I jumped at the chance.”

Ed Wright, Titan’s managing director, said, “I think this proves to the critics of the work experience scheme that it does have benefits, not only for the young people involved but for companies who provide them with experience of the work place.”
