Working at height is seminar topic

UK: The Food Storage & Distribution Federation (FSDF) and British Frozen Food Federation (BFFF) are hosting a seminar to tackle the dangers of working at height.

HSE statistics show that falls from height represent a high proportion of fatal accidents and specified injuries each year. Working at height is a high-risk activity and the planning, selection and use of a safe means of access and working platform is critical to prevent injuries to refrigeration engineers whilst carrying out their duties.

Working at Height on Mobile Refrigeration is a special one-day event to be held at The Kube, Leicester Racecourse on October 4.

The FSDF and BFFF say that this new event will provide access to practical solutions to avoid or prevent falls from height on mobile refrigeration as well as reinforcing legal obligations and the consequences of accidents.

The price of the course is £150+VAT for FSDF and BFFF members and £180+VAT for non-members.
