A-Gas acquires Canadian reclaimer RSI

CANADA: Refrigerant management company A-Gas has acquired Refrigerant Services Inc (RSI), a Canadian refrigerant reclamation business based in Dartmouth, Nova Scotia.

In a statement, A-Gas said that the acquisition aligned with its commitment to delivering enhanced refrigerant solutions and support to businesses across North America.

“It also ensures our customers in the Canadian market receive the maximum value and benefit of lifecycle refrigerant management while maintaining access to a full range of products and services,” the statement said.

RSI established Canada’s first refrigerant reclamation facility in Dartmouth in 1993. The company has since developed a number of patented and patent pending technologies for the refrigerant reprocessing.

In Canada the company provides refrigerant collection, reclamation and disposal of surplus refrigerants and maintains a large inventory of refrigerant recovery cylinders. In addition, RSI is a Transport Canada approved cylinder inspection and recertification facility providing visual and hydrostatic cylinder testing for cylinders in sizes up to and including 1000lb (454kg).
