A-Gas merges US and Mexican businesses

A-Gas-Americas-logoUSA: Refrigerant supplier A-Gas has merged its businesses in the USA and Mexico to form A-Gas Americas.

The formation of A-Gas Americas involves the merger of A-Gas Performance Chemicals with US businesses Coolgas and RemTec, and its Mexican agent Comercializadora Industrial JFD.

A-Gas Americas will operate from the companies’ existing locations within the group and is designed to give customers greater access to technical expertise, industry knowledge and knowhow within the group.

Explaining that existing customers would still deal with the same sales people,  the President of A-Gas US Holdings Ken Logan added: “By bringing the four businesses together into one recognisable brand we will be able to offer customers all the benefits associated with the A-Gas group globally but under one roof.

“Work is already underway to consolidate IT, business and financial systems within the one company and this will be completed soon. We see the establishment of A-Gas Americas as a stepping stone to greater growth in the Americas’ market during the years to come. It is an exciting phase for A-Gas International and we hope it will help turn our Americas’ operation into the largest contributor to group business.”

Coolgas and RemTec were both acquired by A-Gas International in 2012.
