AC linked to Paris explosion

FRANCE: An explosion and fire at a facility of telecom company Orange in Paris has been linked to work being carried out on an air conditioning unit.

The incident on Thursday morning injured three engineers – two suffering serious burns and the third with minor injuries – and impacted an estimated 80,000 phone users.

According to reports, the Orange technical room caught fire after the sudden explosion, which occurred while engineers were carrying out maintenance on an air conditioning system.

It is currently unclear whether human error, a technical defect, or some other fault was the reason.
