AEFYT creates A2L refrigerants group

SPAIN: The Spanish refrigeration association, AEFYT, has created a new working group to promote the development and promotion of A2L refrigerants.

The group includes more than 20 leading companies in the research, manufacture and marketing of these lower flammability refrigerants. Among its objectives, the working group will promote the development of technical-commercial documentation and for its dissemination in the refrigeration sector, with special emphasis on users and applications. Key to this will be dissemination of the necessary safety measures for its use by certified installers.

“Faced with the commitment to obtain greater energy efficiency and optimal performance in refrigeration facilities, the refrigerants of the A2L group are playing an increasingly relevant role in the future. Knowledge of this kind of fluid safety is very important for installation companies and cold users to use them with total confidence,” said Manuel Lamúa, manager of AEFYT.
