AHR awards benefit local charity

USA: The organiser of the upcoming refrigeration and air conditioning exhibition, AHR Expo in Orlando, has donated $26,300 to the Central Florida Police Athletic League (PAL).

Each year, the entry fees collected from the exhibition’s Innovation Awards competition are donated to a charitable organisation within the region where the show is being held. This year’s donation is the largest donation to date, a result of the Innovation Awards programme receiving its most ever entries.

The Central Florida Police Athletic League serves the Orlando/Apopka area and is a registered non-profit organisation dedicated to providing affordable after school, summer and athletic opportunities to more than 500 Central Florida youth.

The AHR Expo Innovation Awards will be presented on February 4, during the AHR Expo at the Orange County Convention Center from February 3-5.
