Al Ghussein steps up as Eurovent ME president

UAE: Tariq Al Ghussein, CEO of Taqeef, one of the region’s foremost cooling and energy solutions providers, has been named as president of Eurovent Middle East.

He succeeds long-standing, and first president, Brian Suggitt, MD of Systemair Middle East. According to Eurovent, the change is necessitated due to Suggitt’s “change of work assignment”.

Suggitt became president of Eurovent ME on its formation in 2017. He had been MD at Systemair Middle East for the last seven years.

“Under Brian’s stewardship, the association has grown in numbers and stature, and contributed to many of the most pressing industry issues affecting our businesses and our region,” said incoming president Tariq Al Ghussein.

Brian Suggitt remarked that he was leaving the association with deep regret, but also with “great appreciation” for the successful development the association had achieved.

Replacing Al Ghussein as vice-president is Rafaël Van Eijcken, general manager of Baltimore Aircoil (Middle East, Turkey and India).
