Arbonia to buy Serbian manufacturer Termovent

SWITZERLAND: The Swiss building equipment supplier Arbonia is to purchase Termovent Komerc, a Serbian manufacturer of air handling units and clean rooms.

Termovent specialises in the design and manufacture of customised ventilation units with specific cleanroom expertise for hospitals, the chemical industry, and the pharmaceutical sector.

Founded in 1993, Termovent is headquartered in Belgrade with the  factory around 250km to the east in Kladovo, near the border with Romania. Sales in 2020 were €15m.

The current management will remain in place, along with the 190 employees.

The acquisition will expand Arbonia’s HVAC division – which includes the Arbonia, Sabiana, Tecna, Prolux and Vasco brands – extending its products into Eastern Europe and widening its expertise in indoor air quality, especially cleanrooms, throughout Europe.

Arbonia is listed on the SIX Swiss Exchange and has its headquarters in Arbon, in the canton of Thurgau. The group is active worldwide with its own distribution companies as well as offices and partners in more than 70 countries. Its main production sites are located in Switzerland, Germany, Italy, Belgium, the Netherlands, the Czech Republic, Poland, Russia and Slovakia.
