Beijer Ref expands its footprint in Oceania

SWEDEN: Wholesaler Beijer Ref is set to acquire all the shares in Froid et Clim Distribution (FCD),  an HVACR distributor on the southwest Pacific island of New Caledonia.

Founded in 2014, FCD sells a range of products and ancillary equipment, mainly for supermarkets and central kitchens. Brands represented include Haier, Carrier and Profroid.

The company has an annual turnover of approximately SEK20m (€2m), and consists of two branches and five employees. 

Froid et Clim Distribution will be integrated into Beijer Ref New Zealand’s current organisation.

Beijer Ref CEO Per Bertland commented: “Beijer Ref have successfully sold its products to the Pacific Islands, and we are very much looking forward to establishing a presence in New Caledonia. Furthermore, this is a great opportunity for us to provide additional support for our OEM products, which is a segment that is growing.”
