Beijer Ref opens Benelux hub

NETHERLANDS: Refrigeration wholesaler Beijer Ref has opened its new 12,000m² logistical hub near Eindhoven.

The facility on the Westfields business area in Oirschot, between Tilburg and Eindhoven, becomes the new logistical hub for Beijer Ref’s companies in Benelux and Central Europe.

It incorporates 9,450m² of logistic space and 2,735m² of offices. The offices, split over three floors, include meeting rooms, exhibition rooms a large assembly hall and training facilities. The centre will also include the assembly of new environmental technology.

All back office activities from the Group’s companies in the Benelux region – ECR-Nederland, Coolmark, ECR-Belgium and Uniechemie – will be transferred to the new facility.

The warehouse, equipped with seven robots, will be able to pick up to 400 orders per hour. In total, 100 employees will work at the logistics centre, which is also equipped with a 150m² test room and a separate showroom.
