Beijer Ref takes majority stake in Fenagy

SWEDEN: Beijer Ref is set to increase its interest in the Danish CO2 refrigeration technology company Fenagy A/S and become the majority shareholder.

An investment of DKK19m (€2.5m) will see Beijer Ref expands its ownership to just over 50% in the Aarhus-based company. The Swedish wholesaler acquired an initial 20% stake in Fenagy in November last year.

Fenagy, a relatively newly formed company, manufactures CO2 industrial heat pumps and refrigeration systems.

Beijer Ref CEO Per Bertland remarked that the investment would provide further support for the company’s international expansion. “Sales have exceeded our expectations and we are very pleased with the collaboration, and we look forward to continuing develop the company in the future. Fenagy’s product range well complements our OEM offering in green refrigeration technology.”
