Bitzer and Beijer Ref sign deal for ANZ

Bitzer’s Gianni Parlanti (left) and refrigeration sales director Erik Bucher join in a thumbs up to the new deal in a video conference with Beijer Ref and Bitzer heads of staff

AUSTRALIA/NEW ZEALAND: Bitzer compressors and associated products will now be available in Australia and New Zealand through branches of Swedish refrigeration and air conditioning wholesaler Beijer Ref.

While both companies already co-operate in many countries in Europe, Asia and Africa, this is the first time an agreement has been reached for Australian and New Zealand.

Beijer Ref has over 100 branches in the region, including the Beijer Ref Australia, ACD Trade and Kirby outlets in Australia, and the Patton and Realcold branches in New Zealand.

Describing the deal as “a natural step”, Beijer Ref CEO Per Bertland said: “Particularly interesting is that Bitzer has one of the most developed product portfolios. They are also in the forefront when it comes to providing high technology solutions based on natural refrigerants.”

Bitzer Group chief sales and marketing officer Gianni Parlanti, added: “It is a clear advantage for us to now be able to have an even greater reach in Australia and New Zealand with the help of Beijer Ref’s broad distribution network.”
