Bluu Unit adds KKL Holding GmbH

GERMANY: Bluu Unit, a group of refrigeration, air conditioning and ventilation firms, has signed an agreement to acquire Düsseldorf-based contractor KKL Holding GmbH.

Founded in 1987, KKL has over 300 employees, including more than 60 apprentices, and revenues of more than €80m. It operates from three locations in Düsseldorf, Cologne and Stuttgart, and runs what is claimed to be the country’s largest training centre.

KKL manages projects across all industries, with a strong focus on data centres. The company’s service portfolio covers a wide range of modern refrigeration and air conditioning technologies.

Details of the transaction, which is expected to close in Q4 2025, have not been disclosed.

Bluu Unit, a portfolio company of investor Triton, was formed in February last year. This followed Triton’s investment in the Kälte Eckert Group in 2022. The alliance has since grown dynamically through targeted acquisitions and strategic partnerships. In 2025 alone, four groups consisting of seven independent specialist companies with more than 180 employees have joined the alliance.
