Carel buys NZ distributor Eurotec

ITALY: Refrigeration controls and humidification company Carel has acquired its New Zealand distributor and system integrator Eurotec. 

Founded in 1986 and a long-time commercial partner of Carel, Eurotec is structured into three business units: HVAC, refrigeration and electrical/instrumentation, all also characterised by a significant content in terms of dedicated services. 

The company carries a wide range of European brands covering controls, instrumentation, gas detection, humidification and ice-making equipment for the HVAC, refrigeration, industrial process, electrical and food industries. Brands include Airedale, Belimo, CPS, Dwyer, Eaton, Honeywell and MSA.

In addition to its Auckland headquarters, Eurotec also has offices in Wellington and Christchurch. Sales are approximately NZ$10.9m (€6m).
