Carel opens factory in Croatia

Carel-Croatia

CROATIA: Italian controls and humidifier manufacturer Carel has commenced production at a new plant in Labin, Croatia.

The new 7,000m² factory is on a site of around 90,000 m², and currently employs 50 local workers. This will increase to 110 when the plant is fully operational.

The Croatian plant is the Group’s fourth site outside of Italy, following those opened in Brazil, China and the USA. In total, the company operates seven factories in addition to 19 fully-owned subsidiaries worldwide.

“We are especially proud of the opening of this new plant in Croatia”, commented Carel Group managing director Francesco Nalini. “Together with our Italian sites, this new plant will help support our growth in Europe. We are in fact continuing to develop our strategy that foresees the majority of our products manufactured at multiple sites, so as to guarantee continuity of supplies to customers in any circumstances,” he added.
