Carrier completes Giwee Group acquisition

USA: Carrier has completed the acquisition of Guangdong Giwee Group (Giwee Group) and its subsidiaries, including Guangdong Chigo Heating & Ventilation Equipment Co.
After signing agreements to acquire the Giwee Group in April and gaining a controlling interest in June, Carrier has now completed the acquisition of the remainder of the company.
Formed in 2011, the Giwee Group specialises in VRF and light commercial air conditioners for the Chinese market. It is one of the largest central air conditioning manufacturers in China, operates from a 170m2 factory and has an annual production capacity of over 1.5 million sets.
