Carsoe to sell Freezertech to DSI Dantech

DENMARK/UK: Danish food processing equipment manufacturer Carsoe A/S is to sell its UK-based Freezertech plate freezer business to fellow Danish company DSI Dantech.
Freezertech was formed in 2008 as an independent supplier of spares for APV/Jackstone Froster plate freezers, progressing to manufacturing its own bespoke horizontal and vertical freezers for the land-based food industry. Based in Humberston, near Grimsby, the company was acquired by Carsoe in 2018.
The purchase of Freezertech is said to align with DSI Dantech’s goal of enhancing its product portfolio and establishing a local business unit in the UK.
“DSI Dantech has substantial expertise in freezing solutions, including plate freezers, and we are the ideal owners for Freezertech, as we can provide the necessary attention and organisational support for developing freezing solutions for the land-based food industry,” said DSI Dantech CEO Søren Overgaard.
Carsoe manufactures equipment and complete plants for seafood processing onboard fishing vessels. With this divestment, Carsoe aims to strengthen its focus on providing complete processing solutions for processing plants on fishing vessels.
Kyle Bennett will continue unchanged as the director of Freezertech.
