Chemours sees sales rise 51%

USA: Chemours has reported second-quarter net sales of $1.7bn, and increase of 51% on the same period last year.
The company’s Thermal & Specialized Solutions segment, which includes its refrigerants business, saw sales increase 47% on last year, reaching $340m. Segment volumes are said to have improved 48%, driven by demand recovery in all markets and all regions.
Sales of Chemours’ Opteon range of lower GWP refrigerants was said to be a key driver of the improved performance with strength across stationary and automotive OEM markets.
