Contractor Kriotec acquired by Köberl Group

GERMANY: Facility management and technical building services company Köberl Group has expanded its portfolio with the acquisition of Wiesbaden-based air conditioning and refrigeration contractor Kriotec.

The Köberl Group says the acquisition of Kriotec Kälte- und Klimatechnik GmbH and Kriotec Gewerbekälte GmbH will allow it to directly offer cooling, refrigeration and air conditioning technology and strengthen the group’s presence in the Frankfurt/Rhein-Main region.

Kriotec’s managing partners, brothers Charalampos and Panagiotis Serpetzis as well as Mario Montaldo, have remained on board and hold a stake in Köberl Group.

The acquisition follows the purchase of a majority stake in Köberl by European investment company Gimv at the beginning of 2020.
