Copeland files for IPO listing

USA: Compressor and controls manufacturer Copeland has confidentially filed a proposed initial public offering of shares of its Class A common stock with the US Securities and Exchange Commission.

The former Emerson Climate Technologies business was fully acquired last year when investor Blackstone completed the $3.5bn purchase of the remaining 40% of the assets in the business. Blackstone had previously acquired a controlling interest in the business in 2022 for $14bn.

Blackstone claims to be the world’s largest alternative asset manager, with more than $1.1 trillion in assets under management.
