Daikin buys Italian service company
ITALY: Daikin Air Conditioning Italy has acquired the Italian technical service company Landi SpA.
Landi was founded in Ciserano, Lombardy, in 1976. The company specialises in the engineering and management of large size electrical, mechanical and HVAC systems. In recent years, the company has expanded its activities into building automation.
Daikin says that the acquisition marks another step in Daikin Europe’s plans to develop its service and solution proposition in the HVAC market. In particular, it aims to channel expertise and technologies into business offerings that provide maintenance and turnkey solutions.
“The acquisition is instrumental in extending Daikin Italy’s capabilities in systems engineering and project management, in particular for large commercial and industrial projects, thus allowing us to offer total building solutions,” said Daikin Air Conditioning Italy MD Geert Vos.
