Daikin opens Saudi applied factory

SAUDI ARABIA: Daikin has opened its first factory in Saudi Arabia for the manufacture of air handling units and other applied air conditioning solutions.

The new Daikin Middle East and Africa FZE (Daikin MEA) factory, its second in the Middle East after Dubai, is part of the company’s five-year growth plan for the Middle East region.

The custom-built premises are located in Sudair Industrial City, 160km north-west of Riyadh. It will be operated by Daikin Saudi Arabia, an affiliate of Daikin MEA. 

“We will be producing high quality applied air conditioning products at the factory, including air handling units, air filtration units and energy-recovery ventilators. We are very proud they will now carry the label Made in Saudi Arabia,” said Takayuki Kamekawa Daikin Europe vice president sales affiliate network.
