Daikin Singapore buys BMS business

SINGAPORE: Daikin’s subsidiary in Singapore is reported to have acquired local building management systems company BMS Engineering and Trading Pte Ltd for S$12.9m (US$9.4m).
Established in 2006 is a main distributor of Schneider Electric’s TAC VISTA building management system. It is also a distributor of TA balancing valves in Singapore and sole distributor for the product in Brunei.
Daikin Singapore sees the acquisition as a complement to its air conditioning sales by being able to include building management systems in its solutions for clients.
