Danfoss to expand Turbocor facility

USA: Danfoss is to build a new $12m, 44,000ft² facility at its Turbocor Compressor site in Tallahassee.

The new facility will expand the company’s existing footprint within Innovation Park in Tallahassee, which includes the engineering and manufacturing operations of Danfoss and the Danish manufacturer’s new Application Development Centre opened at the beginning of this year.

The new jobs will include full-time research and development positions within advanced manufacturing for its oil-free, magnetic bearing compressor technology.

Construction is expected to begin in early 2018, with completion in 2019.

According to the Tallhassee Democrat, Danfoss has been working on the project for two years and negotiating with Leon County and state economic developers on a deal since at least February.
