Dr Armin Frommer to join Vaillant as MD

GERMANY: Vaillant has appointed Dr Armin Frommer as managing director of the company from October 1 amongst changes to the company’s management.
He will take over Vaillant’s technology division from Dr Norbert Schiedeck, who has been managing this division on an interim basis since the beginning of the year in addition to his role as chairman of the Vaillant Group.
Frommer is currently vice president product development powertrain and charging at automotive supplier Mahle. He began his professional at Mahle in 2008, where he increasingly assumed international management responsibilities, including establishing the global business unit for electric refrigerant compressors and leading international product and development organisations. In 2022, he moved to Bosch as vice president of thermal systems engineering and product management. He returned to Mahle in 2023.
Schiedeck will assume responsibility for operations in addition to his duties as CEO. Klaus König, who has previously been responsible for this area within the management board has decided to leave the Vaillant Group to pursue new professional opportunities outside the company.
Klaus König has been successfully serving as managing director of the Vaillant Group since 2022.
