DuPont sells HFC-227ea medical interests
UK: In a further sell-off of its pharmaceutical interests, DuPont has sold its HFC-227ea/P medical propellant business to Mexichem UK.
Earlier this month, DuPont sold its Dymel HFC134a pharmaceutical propellants business to Indian manufacturer SRF.
Under the terms of the $4.1m deal, Mexichem has acquired exclusive global rights to sell and distribute the product for the regulated medical and pharmaceutical propellant market, which will be sold under Mexichem’s Zephex brand.
HFC-227ea/P is used to safely deliver a variety of drugs and medications in aerosol form, including use in metered-dose inhalers for treatment of asthma.
