Ebm-Papst to build $37m plant in Tennessee

USA: Ebm-Papst has announced plans for a plant in Tennessee to produce fans for the refrigeration, air conditioning and ventilation sectors.

A new factory on the Washington County Industrial Park, a 190-acre manufacturing and industrial park in Telford, Tennessee, is set to be operational in September.

The German-owned fan specialist has also acquired 30 acres of land in an industrial park near Johnson City to build a new plant there in the future. Ebm-Papst says it will invest around $37m in its expansion in Johnson City over the next five years, and plans to employ up to 200 people.
