Empower to deliver 23,853RT district cooling project

UAE: Emirates Central Cooling Systems Corporation (Empower) will provide district cooling services of 23,853RT to a man-made 10.5ha luxury beachfront development project in Dubai.

The Island by Dubai developer Wasl is expected to commence construction in 2028 will include over 1,500 units including luxurious hotel apartments and villas, and featuring global hotel brands MGM, Bellagio and Aria. The Island will also feature an extended beachfront with a wide variety of cafés, restaurants, retail stores, and family entertainment options.

CEO of Empower Ahmad Bin Shafar emphasised that the company’s district cooling services can save up to 50% energy compared to conventional air conditioning systems. 

Empower focuses on serving leading real estate projects, particularly hotels, and currently serves more than 21% of Dubai’s hotels. It insists it uses advanced systems designed to ensure energy efficiency and reduce carbon emissions.
