Epta invests $27m in new US headquarters

USA: Commercial refrigeration company Epta is to invest $27m in the expansion of its Kysor Warren Epta US manufacturing operations in Columbus, Georgia.

The investment will establish a new 350,000ft2 (32,500m2) North American headquarters facility in Corporate Ridge Business Park. Kysor Warren was acquired for $49m by Italian group Epta last year.

The plans announced by Georgia governor Brian P Kemp are expected to create 200 new jobs and include a new training centre at the site, which was previously occupied by the NCR Corporation.

Since becoming a part of Epta, Kysor Warren has grown its portfolio with new and innovative solutions, such as self-contained propane plug-in units and Epta’s energy-saving FTE transcritical CO2 system.

Originally founded as Warren Refrigeration in 1882, Kysor Warren was acquired by Lennox in 2011 from Manitowoc.
