Exploring the future for “naturals” in air conditioning

BELGIUM: Natural refrigerant group Shecco and the Danish Technological Institute are to host a two-day, online conference to discuss natural refrigerants in the future of air conditioning.

The organisers promise the event will feature a variety of special topics and technical sessions delivered by leading experts.

“The motivation behind organising this event comes from seeing the natural refrigerant trend emerge within the air conditioning sector,” said Marc Chasserot, CEO of Shecco. “Though these are still early stages, there are enough topics, speakers, and interest to host an event that will showcase already-existing solutions as well as show where the future is headed.”

The event will include a keynote speech by Iain Campbell, senior fellow at the Rocky Mountain Institute, one of the companies behind the Global Cooling Prize and its support for efficient and climate-friendly residential cooling initiatives.

The first day of the event will also look at market trends, the Danish perspective, a policy panel to discuss regulations (present and future), and an incentives session based on the theme of “Clean Cooling”.

The second day will be more technical, commencing with a keynote session and followed by panel that will look at future possibilities for “natural” refrigerants in HVAC. Technical sessions will include a focus on large-scale air conditioning applications and another on smaller systems.

The conference will take place on June 23-24. Further information and booking details here.
