Further expansion at A-Gas Texas plant

USA: Another set of separation towers at the Rhome, Texas plant of refrigerant reclamation company A-Gas is set to double output over the next 18 months.

A-Gas only completed the construction of its latest refrigerant separation towers at the Texas plant late last year. These were recently brought online at the plant, which is located outside of Dallas/Fort Worth.

“Between the phase down of virgin HFCs in the US, local governments requiring the use of certified reclaimed refrigerant, and our customers’ desire to reduce their own environmental impact, the demand for high-quality reclaimed gas is only growing,” noted A-Gas Americas president Mike Armstrong.

The company has quadrupled the separation capacity at the site since acquiring the former Diversified Pure Chem business in 2017.

A-Gas’ newest separators will be operational in early 2024.
