Güntner factory to be built in Dubai

GERMANY/UAE: Allied Heat Exchange AG (A-HEAT) is to build a 37,000m2 heat exchanger production facility for its German subsidiary brand, Güntner, in the Jebel Ali Free Zone (JAFZA).

On a total area of 111,000m2,the purpose-built facility, set to be developed by JAFZA, will meet the rising demand for energy-efficient cooling solutions, particularly for data centres.

The new Güntner facility will be the largest heat exchanger production facility in the Gulf Cooperation Council area and will serve as a key production and distribution hub, enabling faster, more flexible deliveries across the GCC, India, China, Africa and Asia.

JAFZA is one of the world’s leading free-trade zones. Created in 1985 to promote trade and support container throughput at the Jebel Ali Port, today it is one of the largest free zones globally and the region’s most efficient logistics hub. It is located in Dubai, between Jebel Ali Port, and Al Maktoum International Airport.

“Our build-to-suit approach ensures A-HEAT benefits from a facility designed to meet its operational needs,” commented Abdulla Bin Damithan, CEO and MD of JAFZA’s owner DP World GCC.

“This milestone marks a significant step in our ongoing commitment to the Middle East and global markets. Our collaboration with DP World and JAFZA underscores our dedication to providing the most advanced and energy-efficient cooling solutions for industries that depend on optimal thermal management, said A-Heat board member Hubert Spegel.

In addition to manufacturing its heat exchangers for “natural” refrigerants, the facility will also make Güntner’s Aicore smart control solutions. New cutting-edge technology currently being optimised by Güntner’s R&D will also be produced at this facility.
