Haier completes Hungarian distributor acquisition

Haier HVAC Europe CEO Bob Cowlard (left) seals the deal with Klima Kft MD Peter Lukácsi

HUNGARY: Haier Europe Appliances Holding has completed the acquisition of Budapest-based air conditioning wholesaler and contractor Klima Kft.

First announced in March, the transaction encompasses all of Klima’s assets, channels and expertise. Haier insists the deal will bolster its presence in Central and Eastern Europe and accelerate the promotion of its sustainable HVAC solutions across the region.

“Haier’s global R&D and supply chain capabilities will infuse new innovation into our existing channels and services, delivering more diverse and efficient solutions for our clients,” commented Klima Kft’s MD Peter Lukácsi.

“This acquisition marks a significant milestone in our Zero Distance customer service strategy,” said Haier HVAC Europe CEO Bob Cowlard. “Klima’s deep project implementation expertise and well-established service network in Hungary will enable us to better understand local customer needs and leverage Haier’s technical and service strengths across the broader CEE region.”
