Haier sponsors World Aquatics Championships

ITALY: Haier HVAC Solutions, the comfort cooling and applied air conditioning arm of the Chinese manufacturer, is sponsoring the 19th FINA World Aquatics Championships, currently taking place in Budapest.

Tens of thousands of tickets have been sold for the championships for swimming, artistic swimming, open water swimming, diving and water polo, which opened on June 18 and continues until July 3.

Haier Air Conditioning branding can be seen extensively around the event, including on the pool flags, video wall, where two videos are shown between events, and in co-branded items in the free-to-view fan zone in the city.

“The championships are held at six different venues and we are seen at all of them. It’s great to be involved with high performance sport and this sponsorship continues our support of Olympic sports with individual participation,” said Bob Cowlard, Haier’s European HVAC MD.

“Although the complete range of Haier HVAC products are showcased, including the new air to water range – supporting a diving event is not too ironic – most of the promotional material and branding are linked strongly to our new product, the Expert room air conditioner,” he added.
