Holy See ratifies Kigali

Vatican City: The Holy See, the central governing body of the Roman Catholic Church located within the Vatican City, is the latest to ratify the Kigali Amendment.

Ratification by the Holy See follows the earlier ratification by the Republic of Sierra Leone and brings the total number of signees to 98.

Under the Kigali Amendment to the Montreal Protocol, countries commit to cut the production and consumption of HFCs by more than 80% over the next 30 years.

The countries to have ratified the Kigali Amendment in date order are:
