Hudson to supply LG USA with reclaimed refrigerant

USA: Hudson Technologies is to supply LG Air Conditioning Technologies USA with its Emerald range of reclaimed refrigerants. 

The agreement will see LG USA employing Hudson’s expertise in refrigerant recovery and reclamation to make lower GWP reclaimed refrigerants available to its US customer base.

“Certified reclaimed refrigerants match the in-system performance levels of virgin refrigerants, offering LG’s customers a seamless alternative to adopting cleaner refrigerants,” commented Kate Houghton, Hudson’s senior vice president, sales and marketing.

“Leveraging Hudson’s extensive experience in reclaimed refrigerants will enable LG to help our customers meet new California refrigerant-related regulations as well as reinforce our efforts to deliver more eco-conscious solutions for end-users nationwide,” added Darren Gibula, LG USA’s vice president of operations.

Hudson Technologies is EPA-certified and claims around 35% share of the US reclamation market. It operates three reclamation facilities and has two laboratories certified by AHRI.
