Improving prospects in 2015

9321557_sUSA: There is increasing worldwide optimism amongst hvacr manufacturers for improving economic prospects this year.

From the results of a recent ASHRAE Journal and AHR Expo survey of more than 1,000 hvacr manufacturers worldwide, 87% of respondents said their prospects for business were either “excellent” (26%) or “good” (61%) for the coming year.

This is an 8% improvement on last year’s survey and is a sizable 17% increase in optimism over the previous year’s survey when 70% of the respondents thought 2013 would be better than 2012.

More specifically, 96% believe sales will continue to increase this year. Of those, 29% forecast sales increases of more than 10% with 47% expecting sales to increase by between 5% and 10%. Only 3% expected sales to remain the same.

This represents a 6% jump over last year’s forecast and a 16% improvement on the 2013 survey.
