It’s now law! Welcome to the F-gas regulations

33747676_s-pageUK: The new F-gas regulations are now in force and the UK government, through DEFRA, has published full guidance documents for anyone unsure of their responsibilities under the new law.

The collection of documents (EU F gas regulation: guidance for users, producers and traders) published yesterday on the gov.uk website covers every aspect of the new regulation including certification, leak testing, the phase-down, usage bans, recovery and record-keeping.

There is also a separate document for F-gas wholesalers (F gas wholesalers: record keeping requirements) setting out their responsibilities with regard to selling both bulk gas and pre-charged equipment, customer screening and record-keeping.
